This work is intended to follow the efforts described in the American Standard Version (ASV) Old and New Testament Prefaces by intentionally limiting the emending of its 17th Century Elizabethan English text toward conformity with current American usage in the following ways:

2. Archaic verbal terminations

3. Archaic spelling

4. Archaic grammar

5. Archaic punctuation spacing

6. Archaic, obsolete, antiquated, or chiefly British vocabulary
